Our musicians make Charlie Sheen look like a fucking amateur when it comes to being hardcore.  #poutineblood

UPDATE: A link to CBC Radio 3’s write up, with photos and video coming.

The complete Planet Québec lineup at SXSW.  (Click through for full-size image.)  Wednesday’s Poutine Party/Showcase is not to be missed.
Kinda sad that BrooklynVegan is co-sponsoring this.
Postscript: It is the duty of every NOLA attendee to go to at least one of these shows and convince the bands to make a stop through town as soon as possible.

Yes, well, as a true Canadian, as you can tell from this here blog: We stick together! Pop Montreal is a great yearly festival in Montreal—our SXSW. I went to see Radio Radio on their showcase, yet another inspired and out-there French Canadian band to potentially cross over into the “Anglo” (in Montreal, which is part of French Canada, we are either “Anglos” or “Francos”). Radio Radio is a band emerging out of a great Franco music label and organization, led by a true Frenchman, named Gourmet. They rap in French over Fever Ray samples, and the people pogoed. Made me excited for Montreal.
