ALL THE FEELINGS and whatever else doesn’t belong on this Tumblr, is over there. Make sure to Follow it for updates on your Dashboard. Or don’t, whatever.
Now if I can just finish my redesign and portfolio, which has been lying dormant since 2008, I’ll be set. #pathetic

Dreams, part two.
It was at some kind of news conference at Tulane being aired live on NBC, being hosted by Brian Williams, and Kanye was debuting a new song - and honestly, in the dream it was a pretty fucking great song - and then Brian had to stop everybody to say that their time for live air had ended. Then everybody got really silent, and Kanye started pouting.
Kanye: “But…”
Brian...

Programming Note
In keeping with the spirit of my earlier post, I will be focusing more on music, art, and beautiful things. Oh, I’ll still rant and rave and post inane, incoherent text posts after an Ambien or two, but I’m aiming in a slightly different direction.
That being said, I’m going to be starting (or restarting) two projects on here:

Russia's and China's veto on Syria explained, and...
It wasn’t diplomacy, or a failure of diplomacy - this was geopolitics (or geopolitical economics, to be more specific), plain and simple. First, some background:
Back in the 1980s and 1990s when Iraq was a global social pariah, they were able to move their embargoed oil through Syria via tanker ships and excess pipeline capacity. Western intelligence agencies ran multiple ongoing...

Dans mes rêves
After my post #24Hours and productivity marathon, I fell into a deep slumber, and while it was rather short considering my sleep deficit, I experienced so many visuals, insights, ideas, and good vibes. I went to bed in pain, and I woke up feeling as if the whole world has been lifted from my shoulders (though it’s still there, believe me). Alcoholics experience moments of clarity - I...

Lazy Saturday
Multitasking, 24 Hours of Vinyl (I did 20 legit listening hours and I’m fucking exhausted - a shower and sleep are in my near future), spent a few hours calling about some nice fixed gear bikes to look at this week (I’m going to start sweating out the toxic chemicals from treatment even if it almost kills me), and now I’m really looking forward to that shower…
The plus...

The University of New Orleans can go fuck itself....
I had planned to stay in New Orleans and continue my work at UNO, because it’s pretty clear I love the city of New Orleans. It’s not a perfect city, but it’s a great city. Contingent on that was staying on at UNO. Everything was going smoothly until I got sick a few years ago, got better, and then right as I planned to return, got sick again. I contacted the proper...

i know it doesn’t matter
but what really bothers me about this whole post-it thing
is that it represents the organization’s unwillingness to explore tumblr’s potential
i love tumblr so much. so much. it is one of the most important things in my life. no joke.
it has given birth to some totally unique interactions and behaviors over the past five years
but what has tumblr actually...

Thirty-six hours in Miami, lots of thoughts.
I’ve forgotten what winter in Florida is like. Unloading my moving van by myself - including heavy boxes and solid wood furniture - was like working in hell. I went through three t-shirts soaked in sweat and despite a ton of deodorant, they reeked of the worst body sweat odor I’ve ever personally experienced. I think a double washing and lots of dryer sheets are in order later on...

On Florida's GOP primary election results.
“In summary: Mitt Romney won the most votes and all the delegates, Newt Gingrich is going to (maybe literally) set his political party on fire and burn it to the ground to win the nomination (he won’t), so the real winner of the primary was President Obama.”

It’s clear from your blogs that you don’t like Scientology. Why? As someone with a family friend who is a Scientologist, I’ve stood my ground with anyone who’s questioned this as a lifestyle or religion and said people are free to practice what they will. Granted, it might have some “crazy” beliefs, but no crazier than other, more popular religions. And yes, there might have been...

jakke replied to your post: On having a high pain tolerance.
Barbituate-codeine-caffeine? What’s the caffeine doing?
Caffeine is a vasoconstrictor, and I think the theory behind it is that during a migraine, blood vessels are dilated, and it helps to constrict them. But since the brain can’t “feel” pain, it’s probably more of a adjunctive effect - it helps the body to...

On having a high pain tolerance.
Guess what? I’m always in pain. Not some kind of whiny pain or just emotional pain or something that can be taken care of with some Aleve, but “normal” for me is about a 5/10 or the “I shit my pants but I’m trying to hide it face” on the hospital ER pain scale. That’s me, every day, not complaining. I get migraines, and the only way to get rid of them...

Documents released under Access to Information legislation show that just a few weeks before Canada’s Citizenship Week last October, Mr. Kenney’s staff directed departmental officials to add a last-minute citizenship ceremony at the network to their list of scheduled events.

Quick post
Arrived in Miami yesterday, except the house I’m renting from a LtCol I know is actually in Homestead, right under the flight path of the F-16s - GREAT. (I haven’t experienced that since I lived in Orange County in the mid-90s, before they closed El Toro.) The house is a fixer upper, to say the least, but I have like 5 bedrooms, a fenced backyard, and two manned security gates all...

The future is now.
Since I have my iPad 2 and iPhone to keep me company on the drive to Miami, I’ll be tethering the iPhone’s connection so I can dick around on the internet - beats conversations with my stepfather. So if you see me online/posting on Tumblr, say hi. Just remember that I’ll be on a DSL-like connection aka sucksville. I’ll also be not sober, which should be fun for all.

SOLIDARY OBLIGATIONS, MOTHERFUCKER!
I spent most of today loading up my moving truck, which, to my dismay, looked as if it wouldn’t fit all of my stuff. I nearly had a nervous breakdown in front of my stepfather (who is helping me move), and another when I threw out my back because someone doesn’t like taking directions with heavy furniture from a twenty-nine year old. (By the way, I’m still in excruciating pain...

Last day in New Orleans
Note: This is my second time writing this because I accidentally hit Refresh on my browser instead of New Tab, and didn’t save it because I’m not smart. Here we go again.
Since I have roughly 30 hours left in this city before I head off to Miami (and then DC, granted my investigations and paperwork go through soon), I figured this would be a good opportunity to drop a massive truth...
